GEESE
I started to paint Canada geese after moving to Ontario, in 2010.
The characteristic "V" shaped formation of when they’re flying is something very attractive to me. I often observe how they arrange the positions since the moment they take off to when they’re flying higher up. I like the elegance of their shape when they’re flying, so aerodynamic, somehow it also reminds me the way cyclists ride when they are breaking away or just in the pack. The geese to me are very attractive; I like their shape, their long elegant neck, their ability of getting organized to take advantage of aero dynamicity, their loyalty to each other, their comradery. I like their team playing, their way to encourage each other with the honking to keep up, to keep going or to take the turn on the front.
